The finding of a human femur led Tessa, now with WIPD, and Cate, on sabbatical from the FBI, right back to Lamb and his posed blonde, murdered mothers. The mothers were abducted on the fifth of the month, posed then brutally murdered on a 'sacrificial rock/ altar, and buried with a locket containing photos of their last tortured moments on this Earth. The question was who on the island was leaking info to Lamb and carrying out his MO murders. Tracing Lamb's telephone calls led to Chris the realtor and his childhood trauma. They saved Emma his secretary, and Sam initially, as they believed she was the intended target. Henry and Cate are finally engaged and she is out of the FBI for good.Great gravity defying novella, with old characters reappearing, and enough of a back story to make it a 'stand-alone' book. Mike's quick access to Lamb 'private ' communications alluded to governments methods of skirting laws and trampling its citizen's rights.
