We meet Michael in 2002 where he’s fifteen years old, former star footballer. He understands they are not as acceptable as he thought about him being gay, no more football for him.“Maybe just try and be a little less… you know,”“a little less you.”Dang dang, I wanted to punch someone, ugh!Jared is his best friend for over more than ten years, after he told him and the football team he’s gay, their friendship was over and Jared turned into a bully.At high school they all abandoned Michael, talk behind his back, bullied him, my heart cracked for him.At college in a different city, away from his awful family, he finally can be who he is, and even more, ha! No commitments, not ever, just one-night stands, every guy who wants to come closer got definitely ghosted by Michael.He has an awesome roommate, Ben, they have feelings, it’s undeniable only Michael is afraid to lose him as his best friend.Then, one day, by coincidence, Michael and Jared meet again.It took me some time to warm up to Jared. He stepped upon Michael’s heart and crushed it. Not ones, not twice but time after time. I admired Michael for his soft heart. He made it too easy for Jared, I wanted him on his knees, crawling through the dirt. I have to admit they were meant for each other, it is what it is.Somehow, I hoped he ended up with Ben, I loved Ben! Oh and let’s not forget Jessica!Michael has some fierce friends, who stood up for him. Even though a lot turned out well for Michael in the end, I had my doubts about certain characters, I can’t help it.I loved this story, at times busy with friends around, at times just Michael and Jared.The whole story, the characters, the feelings, the sexy times, the plot, all were well developed.This author knows how to write emotional, hurtful stories, with the emphasis on hurt!Great job!
